Stanley Crawford is one of our favorite New Mexican authors because he represents so many of us. He is a farmer, a writer, a philosopher and sometimes architect. He is an explorer, and he shares his experiences in such a real way that you feel like you’ve been right there with him all along. This is a beautifully written book about the good, bad, and ugly side of small scale artisan farming in northern New Mexico.
