Los Poblanos Agricultural Internship Program is a full-time work trade position in which interns will work as farm hands in exchange for comprehensive, on the job career education. The internship is designed for individuals pursuing a career in organic, sustainable agriculture, especially in agri-tourism. The program is designed to provide the necessary knowledge, skills and tools for interns to begin their own agri-tourism business or full-scale production organic farm. The internship is not intended for hobby gardeners. A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for an interns’ success as a substantial majority of learning will be done with hands and boots in the soil.
Interns shall first be responsible for assisting farm staff in accomplishing the daily and weekly farm tasks, which will provide the basic agricultural curriculum, before embarking on more in-depth, educational or experimental projects. All positions require substantial amounts of physical labor, heavy lifting, walking on uneven ground and working in extremes of temperature and weather. Interns are expected be responsible, professional, hardworking and respectful.
A fair monthly stipend will be offered alongside the educational component of the internship. Los Poblanos unfortunately cannot offer lodging or transportation to and from the farm. However, support can be provided in obtaining lodging here in Albuquerque if necessary. Partial season positions are not available.

This exciting position will manage the production and fulfillment of Los Poblanos lavender products and artisan foods. The position entails everything from distillation of essential oil to the distribution of products nationally and internationally. Manager will collaborate with farmers, sales and management team to create systems for long-term product success in the marketplace. In addition, this person will be involved in product development process for an established brand with strong market presence.
Work in a team environment for a historic property and organic farm in picturesque surroundings. Due to the pace of work and department structure, strong communication and leadership skills, as well as organization, are imperative. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires previous experience in project management and manufacturing.
