What is your maximum capacity?
The Cultural Center and surrounding gardens at Los Poblanos offer a wonderful variety of options for your ceremony and reception and we can accommodate weddings of up to 250 guests. Our ballroom seats a maximum of 120 and our outdoor covered portal seats a maximum of 160 so depending on the season and weather, a group of over 120-160 may possible require a tent and heaters at an additional charge.
Can we provide our own food and beverage?
Los Poblanos is committed to promoting local, organic, seasonally-driven cuisine in efforts to support local farmers and ranchers and to provide our guests with a unique and memorable gourmet experience. We have a full-service kitchen and our Executive Chef, Jonathan Perno, will work with you to create menus to your specifications. As such, we do not allow off-site catering or food and beverage to be brought in for events.
What time must our event end?
Per zoning restrictions in the Village of Los Ranchos the bar and music must end by 10:30pm and the entire event by 11:00pm.
Can we have a band or DJ?
Yes! Los Poblanos is happy to have you celebrate your special day with a band or DJ. Our zoning requires that all amplified music be located inside, so our ballroom is the perfect location to set up your entertainment and dance throughout the evening.
What do we do if it rains?
The Cultural Center at Los Poblanos includes the Gilpin Gallery and ballroom so if weather is an issue on the day of your wedding we are happy to set a backup space indoors.
Do you offer times for ceremony-only events?
Yes, the time frame we have available on Saturday’s (and Sunday’s on a holiday weekends) is from 10:00 AM -2:00 PM. Guests must depart by 2:00pm. Other time frames may be an option for Sunday-Friday ceremonies.
How much does it cost to reserve Los Poblanos?
The facility fees at Los Poblanos vary depending on the day of the week and time of year you are holding your event. We are happy to provide pricing information based on your preferred dates and you may submit your request for pricing via the wedding inquiry form.
What does Los Poblanos provide for my wedding?
The facility fees at Los Poblanos include your private use of the specified location for the time frame the event is booked, assistance from our wedding specialists from the beginning of your planning through the day of your event, all set up and tear down, gift table, altar table, guest book table, ceremony chairs, reception tables and chairs, white linen, votive candles for your tables and bud vases with fresh flowers from the gardens for your smaller cocktail tables.
What is your average price for food?
Reception hors d’oeuvres prior to dinner average about $15.00 per guest, plus service charge and tax, and may vary depending on actual menu selections. The average price for a three-course dinner is about $55.00-$60.00 per guest, plus service charge and tax, and prices do vary depending on the actual menus selected.
Does Los Poblanos offer a Full Bar?
Los Poblanos has a beer and wine license only, and offers a wonderful array of champagne, wine, beer and wonderful wine-based “cocktails,” such as lavender-agave margaritas. Alcohol spirits are strictly prohibited.
Do I have to use vendors recommended by Los Poblanos?
No, you are welcome to contract the vendors you are comfortable with but we do ask that you have these vendors approved by Los Poblanos prior to signing a contract with them. Los Poblanos is also happy to provide recommendation for vendors during your planning process.
What other fees and charges should I expect?
Los Poblanos has a 20% service charge on all food, beverage, equipment, and labor. There is a 7.0625% tax on all charges, including the service charge. Los Poblanos also requires either parking attendant or valet parking to be utilized depending on the size of your event. All events less that 100 guests must have parking attendants at $175.00 and all events over 100 must have valet parking attendants. Fees for valet range between $250.00-$400.00 depending on the size of your event and the number of attendants required.
