What better setting to learn the art of drawing and painting in the field? Directed towards design professionals (architects, landscape architects, planners, designers and artists) as well as those interested in travel or leisure sketching, courses taught at Los Poblanos will focus on one subject at a time, allowing students to select which skills they most want to develop. Classes will be limited to 6-12 students where students can experience one-on-one instruction from the extensive and complementary experience of two instructors per course, primarily architects Karin Pitman and Terrance Brown.
Ink/Watercolor Sketching This course will cover the skills used to combine ink and watercolor in a sketch. It assumes people attending will have some drawing skill and a basic knowledge of color theory.
Class fee: $100 per person, option to add on supplies: a set of black archival ink pens, a sketchbook and a watercolor travel set. Class will be held from 1:30pm - 5pm, with the option of adding on dinner reservations after the class. Please wear comfortable shoes and sun protection - parts of the class will be held outdoors during field sketching.
